In addition to web server logs, BEING uses Google Analytics – a website analytics service provided by Google. Reports obtained from Google Analytics are used to improve the efficiency and usability of this site.

We use MailChimp, an EDM service, to dispatch our newsletters and analyse campaigns.
We use Google Analytics to analyse website traffic.
How we protect your data:
Google uses your information for the purpose of evaluating use of our site, compiling reports on web activity for site operators, and providing other services linked to website activity and internet usage. Google may transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where third parties process information on Google’s behalf.
We use SSL to protect our website and ensure the connection between the server and user is secure. Website security is enforced and maintained by updating the CMS core and required plugins used on the site.

Automated decision-making and profiling with user data:
We do not use automated decision-making. We do use the Google Analytics tracking tool for profiling. For further information on our use of Google Analytics, refer to the earlier Analytics section.
When you contact BEING – e.g. by email – we process your name, email address and any additional personal data disclosed in the correspondence itself. Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) f. GDPR. Our legitimate interest is in answering your enquiry and, if appropriate, providing follow-up questions.
Making a complaint:
If you feel BEING has breached the Privacy Act or you wish to make a complaint about the way we have handled your personal information, you can contact us via our complaint form. Please include your name, email address and/or telephone number and clearly describe your complaint.
We will acknowledge your complaint within a reasonable time period. If you feel we have failed to resolve the complaint in a satisfactory manner, we will provide you with information on further steps available.
